Reduce Symptoms of Menopause with Tissue Salts

Menopause is a natural part of life for women that brings about significant changes and challenges. From hot flashes and night sweats to mood swings and fatigue, the symptoms can be overwhelming. While there are many treatments available, many women prefer natural options. Tissue salts are fast becoming a popular option for women seeking natural ways of managing menopausal symptoms.

What Are Tissue Salts?

Tissue salts, also known as cell salts or biochemic salts, are 12 mineral salts that are found naturally in the human body. The principle of using tissue salts as a remedy was discovered by a homeopath named Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler in the 1800s.

He believed that our bodies need these 12 minerals to stay healthy and when we don’t have enough of these minerals, we can experience health problems. Tissue salts help to provide our bodies with these essential minerals in a diluted form, which helps restore balance in the body.

Symptoms of Menopause

Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman's reproductive years. It typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 but can happen earlier or later. The symptoms of menopause can vary widely among women and can affect various aspects of physical and emotional health. Here are some common symptoms of menopause:

  • Hot Flashes: Sudden feelings of warmth, often accompanied by sweating and reddening of the upper body and face.
  • Mood Swings: Rapid changes in mood, including feelings of sadness, irritability, and anxiety.
  • Night Sweats: Hot flashes that occur during sleep, often leading to disrupted sleep and nighttime awakenings.
  • Irregular Periods: Changes in menstrual cycle frequency, duration, and flow before periods stop completely.
  • Vaginal Dryness: Decreased moisture and lubrication in the vaginal area, leading to discomfort and sometimes pain during intercourse.
  • Sleep Problems: Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early.
  • Fatigue: Persistent feelings of tiredness and low energy.
  • Weight Gain: Changes in body weight, often an increase in abdominal fat. Many women also experience swelling in the body due to water retention (oedema).
  • Hair Thinning and Dry Skin: Changes in hair texture and skin condition.
  • Joint and Muscle Pain: General aches and pains in muscles and joints.
  • Memory Problems: Difficulty with concentration, focus, and short-term memory.
  • Loss of Bone Density: Increased risk of osteoporosis due to a decrease in estrogen levels, leading to weaker bones.
  • Headaches: An increase in the frequency and intensity of headaches or migraines.
